Everyone knows about the sun and the moon,

But have you heard the tale of the sunflower bloom?

She was perfection in the form of a flower,

And she looked to the sky for all of her hours.

She watched the dance between the sun and the moon,

Oh how she wished she could dance with them too.

The sun and the moon looked down from the sky,

And wondered why that beautiful sunflower cried.

They said "Dear little flower, this dance that we do,

Isn't only for us, this dance is for you too."

They poured their love on that sunflower below,

They wanted her to be happy and be able to grow.

They shined through the day and all through the night,

Hoping that sunflower would feed off their light.

That sunflower grew into the sky and out into space,

And gave the sun and the moon a loving embrace.

The three of them were at long last together,

A moment frozen in time that would last forever.
