Tale Of A War

Effects of war

By Hassaan KhalidPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

In shadows deep, where silence weeps,

The echoes of war do softly creep.

Beneath the veil of starless nights,

Lies a tale of endless fights.

In lands once lush, now torn asunder,

The scars of battle, a haunting plunder.

Fields once green, now painted red,

With dreams of peace forever fled.

Through smoke and ash, the cries resound,

As shattered hopes upon the ground.

Families torn, their hearts in pain,

A legacy of loss, an endless chain.

In shattered cities, ruins stand tall,

A testament to the rise and fall.

Of empires built on blood and strife,

Where peace becomes a fleeting life.

The toll of war, both near and far,

Leaves wounds unseen, yet deep they scar.

In every soul, a story untold,

Of the price of war, its heavy toll.

Yet amidst the chaos, there's a plea,

For peace to reign, for all to see.

That in the end, when battles cease,

It's love and kindness that bring release.

So let us heed the lessons learned,

And seek a path where all are yearned,

For a world where swords are laid to rest,

And the scars of war, at last, are blessed.
