Taking Time
A poem about accepting help when grieving.
By Madison "Maddy" NewtonPublished 3 years ago • 1 min read

Tell them the tough thoughts, the trauma;
time transforms, though torturous.
They trust, thinking the tries
turn to transitions, turn to turnaround.
Too timely though.
Thunder toils, the terrifying, tantalizing trance.
Take the time.

That's excellent! It's so hard to get a coherent thought through this goofy format, but you pulled it off here!
This is a beautiful poem, Madison. The use of alliteration in the first line draws the reader in and sets the tone for the rest of the piece. The message of accepting help during the grieving process is an important one, and you convey it well through your words. The final line "Take the time" is a simple yet powerful reminder to allow oneself the necessary time to heal. Keep up the great work!
Amazing! Very meaningful message behind beautiful poetry!
