Taking on water

Kinder seas

By Adam ZPublished 3 years ago Updated 3 years ago 1 min read

Once a ship sailed calm and true,

On waters still and clear as blue.

Its sails unfurled to catch the breeze,

With ease it sailed the open seas.

But now the winds have changed their tune,

And violent storms have come too soon.

The ship is tossed and battered round,

No peace or calm can now be found.

The waves, they rise like mountains high,

And threaten to engulf the sky.

The ship, it strains against the strain,

But finds no rest, no ease from pain.

The crew, they fight with all their might,

To keep the ship afloat and right.

But as the tempest rages on,

The ship's once steady course is gone.

No longer can it find its way.

No longer does it see the day.

The peaceful waters it once knew,

Are gone forever from its view.

So now the ship must struggle on,

Against the winds that blow so strong,

And hope someday to find once more,

The calm and peace it knew before.
