Take My Hand
Take my hand, if only for a while,
Don’t say a word, just let me see your smile.
In heaven you’re out of reach and sight,
So meet me in dreams, just for tonight.
One more time, let me hold you near,
To feel your warmth, to draw you here.
I’ll know in God’s arms you rest safe and sound,
my heart finds peace, though you’re heaven-bound.
We’ll walk through fields of starlit skies,
Whispering words we left behind.
In this brief embrace, time fades away,
And the ache of loss, just for now, will stay.
When dawn returns, and dreams depart,
I’ll carry you here, close to my heart.
Though distance divides, and you’re heaven’s light,
In spirit, you’re with me each day and each night.
So take my hand, even Just for a while,
And let me live in the warmth of your smile.
When morning breaks, I’ll let you go,
Even though it will hurt, I love you so

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️

Great work this poem would be great for a leadership activity somewhere or just making new friends.
