Take Me with You. . . .

Will You Let Me Fall?

Will you take me the moon,

Just liked you promised?

You said you we were perfect,

You said I was the only one.

You lied.

Again.

But to think,

With every new lie,

I believed,

I thought you loved me more.

Your hypnotic words twirled in my head,

Losing my clear sight of who you really are.

I ask you again,

Will you take me to the moon?

You don't have to mean it,

I just want to know how it would feel,

Like brand new shoes before you return them.

Will you take me to the moon?

We don't have to be there for long,

Just a moment long or two.

You don't even have to be there,

You can drop me off and pick me.

Will you take me the moon?

Where I can dream of a happy ending,

With someone new,

Or maybe with myself,

Since my love for myself is now stronger than yours to me.

So please do me this one last favor,

And take me to the moon.
