The old lady was emerald green
sparkling in the sunshine
her face radiating content wisdom
eyes looking at the bluebells near the pond
she made me calm
The young girl was musky yellow
waiting at the bus stop
isolated by music
streaming from her headphones
mascara smudges forming shady bags under her young empty eyes
she made me want to run home
and hide
The boy behind the counter was sea blue
calmly taking my grocery shopping
with a friendly smile he told me
it was fifteen forty-five
he made me want to lean over and hug him
The woman pushing a pram was purple orange
her baby discovering the world for the first time
oblivious to the tiredness and worry
rolling like pebbles on a stormy shore
he made me want to tell him
that it will all be okay
Today I feel rosey pink
tinted with a hint of grey
and I tell you that I am fine
just watching people
and dreaming about life
in different minds
About the Creator
Zsuzsanna Beres
They say I am an overthinker which might be true. My guess is that I am just observant, highly intuitive and empathetic and like writing and drwaing about stuff that I find interesting. Connection and sharing are really important to me.
