Sweet Soul

The presence of your sweet soul

Silently wraps me in a state of serenity.

When I rest my head against the pillow,

My mental torment unravels and releases.

Safety and serenity envelops my senses;

I can finally live in the moment.

I wake up energized, refreshed, and excited to be alive-

A feeling I almost forgot existed.

I gather an abundance of peace,

And I reside in a space of harmony.

My creativity surges and flows,

Though I know this is temporary,

as all things are,

So, as each moment passes while I’m here

I must remind myself to soak it all in.

Last night you should’ve heard me say

“Good luck trying to get rid of me now,”

For I could stay forever.

Still you could kick me out whenever,

And I’ll still find my way.
