Sweet Sorrow

Don't let anyone else decide who you should love.

One big leap of faith is all it takes,

To refrain from the chaotic mess,

Or to dive deeper into the unknown.

Think for yourself they say,

Why loving myself seems so wrong nowadays,

I will be doomed for choosing my joy,

Leaving the loved ones behind,

A bad girl, a bad daughter, a bad sister,

How dare she disgrace us!

Eloped with the person she loved,

Don’t let others take control of your life,

Follow your heart, follow your dreams,

The choice is yours,

Bear the consequences,

Contentment of heart is all that matters,

Χαρμολύπη, the meaning of life.
