swallow

(me)

By Sara Published about a year ago 1 min read

i snort white glitter

to pretend you are not gone

but my nose bleeds

and my throat burns.

everything is too bright.

the sun glares and the windows glare and everyone is glaring at me.

they say you have a bright future

don’t ruin it.

but there is a hole inside me

that feels like a vacuum

that will swallow

the sun, the trees, the sunflowers

the stars

and then me

unless white powder

swallows me first.

little silver spoons are for people who eat their souls.
