Sunshine

On the matter of parting...

By Alan SchoolcraftPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

When can I see the sun?

Tell me…does it even shine any more?

All I can see are the shades of

Grayest Rains

They say

The deeper that sorrow cuts you

The more joy your soul can contain

Well, excuse me…

I think it’s the other way around…

So I’ll just stand here in the pain

Aware just long enough to

Make love to the rain

You know that

I will be just fine

Soaking up this absence

Of Sunshine

So I’ll just stand here in the rain

Aware just long enough to

Make love to this pain

So if you don’t hear from me anymore

Just know I’ve travelled through this open door

If I have to

Live without you

I confess

That I don’t know

How to

Deal with all this

Emptiness

In me

My heart was made just for you

It’s only natural that

I adore you

Please don’t make me

Walk this world

Alone

I just can’t find my own way

Home…

Ooh…take me home

Your arms…

They feel like home…

Please…take me home…

heartbreak
