Sunset Rose

Then come moonlight, you’re my labradorite.

By Amber ForestPublished 2 years ago 1 min read
Peachy pink with veins of purple

You are a rose the colour of sunset,

Peachy pink with veins of purple,

I am a sucker for it,

I am a sucker for ya,

One picky choosy girl,

It stems from nature,

Together we can blossom into the sky.

When you curl up for the night,

Everything is alright,

Whether the next day it rains

Or the sun shines bright,

Raindrops suit ya,

We’ll get wet together…

In the sun you glow,

We bathe in each others light.

You are a rose the colour of sunset,

Peachy pink with veins of purple,

I am a sucker for it,

I am a sucker for ya,

One picky choosy girl,

It stems from nature,

Together we can blossom into the sky.

The next day we rose

Literally and habitually,

You live up to your name,

Live up to your nature,

Baby, who can blame ya?

You turn the colour of sunrise

When dawn brings out your peach,

This kind of beauty you cannot teach.

Because baby,

You are a rose the colour of sunset,

Peachy pink with veins of purple,

I am a sucker for it,

I am a sucker for ya,

One picky choosy girl,

It stems from nature,

Together we can blossom into the sky.

Just when the day comes full circle

And turns into night,

It streaks you purple,

Then come moonlight,

You’re my labradorite.

You are a rose the colour of sunset,

Peachy pink with veins of purple,

I am a sucker for it,

I am a sucker for ya,

One picky choosy girl,

It stems from nature,

Together we can blossom into the sky.
