Sunflower

This world is so big and full of wonders

But I’ve discovered so much, in such little time

I've found a treasure

How could I want anything more

It's so astounding, a simple pleasures allure

She can lights up a room and she gives me all these gifts without even knowing it

Like a blooming sunflower, so pretty and so grand,

She doesn't look down on me, she extends her hand.

She shows me the stars, guiding me through the night,

Her warmth and her grace,

And all it took was water, love and sunshine

She can light up a room, with out even trying too

How can no one tell she’s a natural enchantment,

In full bloom, she blossoms, in a world that can be gray,

Her spirit uplifts, brightening each passing day.

Her life’s colors paint vibrant scenes,

Her laughter, her smile, a portrait, serene.

She has a touch so sweet and so smooth

An innocent look that prevents me to move

We’ve hardly kiss, we’ve hid it good

But my sheets and my pillows they know the truth

We’ve got a past and maybe a future too
