Summertime

In the Summertime

By A.C. ZempleniPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

I Feel the Sun beating down on me.

The warm sand beneath my feet

Creeping between my toes.

I hear the waves slapping at the shore.

As the wind blows, the clouds roll by.

It's Summertime

The days are long, laughter fills the air.

BBQ's, fireflies, friends, and family.

A cold drink in my hand, you by my side.

Watching fireworks light up the night sky

With Crimson reds and bright blues.

We are overwhelmed with a feeling

there is nothing we can't do.

It's summertime

You probably won't see this because this poem is so old, but I just wanted to say I stumbled across it while looking for something else and I loved it! I love summer and going to the beach and this bought back all of my fond memories on summertime. It's winter right now, so I'm just waiting for summer again!
