Summers by the Pool

Fractures of my youth

By Danielle SteelPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Summers by the pool,

Fractures of my youth,

Memories that make me whole,

Moments of pure truth.

The sun beating down,

Laughter filling the air,

Friends gathered all around,

Nothing else could compare.

Splashing in the water,

Sipping on icy drinks,

Feeling carefree and lighter,

All our worries in the brink.

Days would turn into nights,

But we never wanted to leave,

Dancing under stringed lights,

A moment we'd always retrieve.

Those summers by the pool,

Fractures of my youth,

May be distant and cool,

But they'll forever remain the truth.
