Summer Shine

A Sonnet by Kevin Mitchell

By Kevin MitchellPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Basking yellow in baked warm glow

Crackle, frosty willows wilt burns.

Crisp the grass, clean drawn air in flow

One morning winters season turns.

Birds perched chirp summers arisen song,

Calfs and puppies bound with lights abandon.

Babes splash and families frolick long,

Sprite Gaia sparks the embers danced upon.

A closure softly of the hard wood door

To the world as was, troubles well spent, how

Now blossoms budding vibrant life and more.

Scampering fowl to crisp petals bow.

Renewed adventure beckons for

Once tired limbs and thoughts warmed hot.

Passion, pleasure, touches every pore

As life dances, promised, forget me not.
