One summer I saw an amazing sight.
Was like nothing I've seen before or since.
From a dark sky came a display of light,
Even bolts of outright magnificence.
As if that wasn't impressive at all
came a thousand timpani surrounding.
A thunderous rumble meant to enthrall,
while the quake in my chest was resounding.
Act three amazed me no less, there I was
in a downpour, of copious, cool rain.
Like in a theatre, I offered applause
and there, I witnessed a night unrestrained.
I wait and wait for my summer monsoon,
of an encore performance, perhaps this June.
