Wonderful recollection

Have you ever just waltzed between raindrops?

I remember cool gentle summer breeze

Watched droplets make rainbows once the rain stopped

Skipping across beads of sweat bringing ease

Long days in the sun laying under clouds

Identifying shapes, hands reaching up

I recall great concerts, picnics, and crowds

Poetry slams and parties: “Bottoms-Up”

Two-a-days on gridirons, don’t pass out

Times being more simple, hanging with friends

And at absolutely nothing, laugh out.

Bonds that stayed, even after summer’s end

But, instead of living nostalgia’s past

Make more memories. It will be a blast!
