A mother’s pain

Suddenly you died

Then came all the tears

My God I’d only had you

a very short 30 years

You said you wouldn’t leave me

Promised you would stay

Then in one brief moment

You took your life away

You left me with a hole

A mother cannot fill

A gaping wound within my heart

I carry with me still

Sometimes I think I hear your voice

In the darkness of the night

Feel your touch upon my hand

Saying it’s alright

You took your life that morning

Your choice to get away

But you crushed me that same morning

For here I had to stay

You took away your sadness

And now you are pain free

But I am left to wander now

You never thought of me

How I have to deal

with the loss of you my son

A never ending battle

That only you have won

They tell me time will heal

The pain within my soul

But when you died so did I

I never will be whole

heartbreak
