I caught a glimpse of you as you entered the room
Vibrating at such a high frequency
The darkness scattered
Your reflection hit me like a wave
Temporarily blinding me.

I no longer need my sight anyway
After catching the beauty of your eclipse
The final image ingrained in my mind
A spectacle for all eternity

I beg you to come forward
Get lost in what I see
Oh, it will be uncomfortable,
Feel unrecognizable
Inconceivable
But enjoyable.
Don't look away
Savor the moment
It's only you and me.

Broken many times
You faithfully stitch yourself back together.
Your broken spine has been rebound
With a golden thread that runs through your center
Holding together silk pages drenched in honey
Dripping like a nectarine
Soft, moist, sweet.

You are a daily affirmation.
A sunrise prayer.
An outpouring of gratitude.
*
Who cares about perfection?
You are the truth.
I'm glad you found the courage to face yourself today.

Love at first sight,
Found in a gilded mirror
Cheers to falling in love again.
