Strong at heart

I’ve seen so many people that are lost and confused,

They don’t know what to do or who to turn to,

They hit a low point and they’re in need of advice,

As they’re tossed in the current of this thing we call life,

And they lose track of time when they know it won’t last,

And their hearts are all heavy with the weight of their pasts,

And they cherish their memories no matter the cost,

Of those they hold dearly and those they have lost,

When the tears fill their eyes and stream down their cheeks,

When their hope has been shattered and their spirits are weak,

Give them your strength, it’s the right thing to do,

For a time may arise when you walk in their shoes,

Their burdens are too much to hold on their shoulders,

But the hardest of battles make the strongest of soldiers.
