Strike of Fate: Lightning Shares Our Sky
Verse 1:
We stepped out of the sanctuary, hearts light as a dove,
Friends pulled us in, for a moment of love.
Unusual yes to break our usual no,
Destiny's whisper guided me to where to go.
Chorus:
Lightning struck where dreams used to lie,
Fear, rage, shock - under the same sky.
Our sacred space was torn by nature’s hand,
We’re safe by grace, but can’t understand.
Verse 2:
The phone rings sharp, like thunder in the night,
Words hit hard and left us paralyzed with fright.
The room we shared, childhood’s tender nest,
Now marked by flames, where we’d normally rest.
Chorus:
Lightning struck where dreams used to lie,
Fear, rage, shock - under the same sky.
Our sacred space was torn by nature’s hand,
We’re safe by grace, but can’t understand.
Bridge:
Walking in, air thick with smoke and sorrow,
Walls charred black, stealing our tomorrow.
Memories singed, in the blink of an eye,
Yet we're bound tighter, under that same sky.
Chorus:
Lightning struck where dreams used to lie,
Fear, rage, shock - under the same sky.
Our sacred space was torn by nature’s hand,
We’re safe by grace, but can’t understand.
Outro:
In the ashes, we find strength to stand,
Together we'll rebuild, hand in hand.
Lightning struck, but we won't break,
A family forged by every storm we take.
