strength of a woman

So much depth

it goes deep like the ocean

keep swimming and you’ll drown

keep diving and you’ll be lost

hang a lantern

you still won’t see beyond your own feet

her strength has no limitations

she may be traditionally weak

but for her loved ones she will move mountains

careful of her words

they are so sharp it’ll pierce your soul

so poisonous it’ll burn your flesh

welcome her words

words so warm and tender it’ll comfort you

yet so bold and powerful it’ll strengthen you

is it this easy for you

to tear us down

to lift us up

what you do seems unfathomable, impossible yet you achieve it

you give birth to life

a son a daughter you give all

and when you do, you do

and still look as alive as rich green leaves in summer

and through all your pain and accomplishments you dance through it like a sakura petal gliding through the wind
