when my emerald eyes bleed black, i turn left

towards the light i dash, you cannot see that

love is fickle, yours feels like petty theft

just a little mouse caught by a stray cat

--

i try to conform but my hands are stained

black is all i see please just go away

your light glows so bright tell me is it feigned

i see ravens when you see doves streaked gray

--

our love is something out of fiction babe

two opposites attract is this real life

you showed me how to finally escape

i still cannot believe that i'm your wife

--

lover boy, you taught this heart to grow

without you here, there'd be no me to know
