Storms come and go

Uplift

By Jordan ZunigaPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I see you by the window, gazing at the rain,

Looking at the downcast, considering your pain,

The struggle that you’re enduring, the suffering, and the loss,

Bearing your burdens, picking up your cross,

Although this season has lingered, its overstayed it’s due,

The droplets but a mere reflection of how you would see this through,

The terror in the heavens cannot stay forever in its own might,

The storm is but the beginning of the breaking of the light,

The mud is damp and filthy, your life is a constant wreck,

Your barely scrapping by, living check by check,

Your heart is ever burdened, the pain is sure to throb,

Fighting with your loved ones, as you lost your job,

Although this season has lingered, its overstayed it’s due,

The droplets but a mere reflection of how you would see this through,

The terror in the heavens cannot stay forever in its own might,

The storm is but the beginning of the breaking of the light,

I know it seems all is wrong, and though everyone would say despite,

Push forward, keep going, be steadfast, and fight…

Although this season has lingered, its overstayed it’s due,

The droplets but a mere reflection of how you would see this through,

The terror in the heavens cannot stay forever in its own might,

The storm is but the beginning of the breaking of the light!
