Storm Bert

Let’s hope it’s soon gone with harm to none

Storm Bert

The wind is howling through the night,

Storm Bert is coming, full of might.

The trees are bending, skies turn gray,

Rain is on its stormy way.

The thunder rumbles, loud and deep,

The lightning cuts the sky’s dark sweep.

The waves are high, the sea is mad,

The power of nature, fierce and bad.

The windows rattle, the doors creak,

The storm is here, will be here all weekend.

The rain hits hard, the streets shine wet,

A night like this, we won’t forget.

The power flickers, shadows play,

The storm won’t rest, it will soon go away.

Good job don’t last, they come and go,

Leaving behind their floods and show.

Stay safe inside, keep warm and dry,

Let Bert move on, and clouds drift by.

When morning comes, the world will glow,

Storm Bert's moving on even though it’s slow
