Stirrings of Sanctifying Spirit

From a working collection of poems

By Nick JamesonPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Death envisioned in the electronic enslavement

Malice amounting to mechanized, compounding capital

Killing in contraptions annexing human automatons

Men made to mice upon the un-wondering wheel

Wonderous women left uncherished, unknown

Incompletions completing material modes and means

Longevity of life voided in unvital victimization

Thinning lengths gone of girthing greatness

Disconnected cracking crevices of burdensome boundary

Shallow graves of comfort burying beseeching poets

Ecstasies unknown by the accrual of assets

Brotherhoods butchered by cowardly lionized leaders

Emptiness veiled by the finding of fortune

Indebted chasing dreams, dreamers torn at the seams

Aimless wanderings revealing all, led by laughingstocks

Chains fettering fools with aristocratic ambition

Worries binding the broken, casts called bounties

Heaving with the heaviness of fulfilling molded role

Toiling within mentalities tantamount to madness

Realism, the realization of brutally ravaged romance

Cultivations of finery laced around hidden apostles

Carnage of sensuality slaughtered by sexual exploit

Games of confidence and cash concealing the lash

Champions choked by the captains of industry

Brilliance bankrupted by acceding to accounts

Waning of heart willed by waxing of want

Catalysts of unity cast-out as heretics and heathens

Real richness impoverished by rancid enrichment

Salvation in the signaling stirrings of sanctifying Spirit
