Still Waiting For

poem

By el hariti adilPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

While waiting, I obsessively monitor the many possibilities,

perhaps she forgot her small bag on the train of difficulties,

and my address was lost, and the mobile phone was lost,

So her appetite lost and she said,It has no share of light rain,

And perhaps she was busy with a trip south to see the sun,

And she called but did not find me in the morning of peace.

I went out to buy a gardenia for our evening and two bottles of juice,

And perhaps she disagreed with the husband over matters of memories,

So she swore not to see a man threatening her with making memories,

And perhaps she collided with a taxi on the way to me,

And the planets in her galaxy were extinguished to me.

She is still being treated with sedatives and drowsiness,

And perhaps she looked in the mirror before coming out

Oh wow. Lovely writing and very impactful story. Sounds like words from an overthinking, overcaring mind. Take care!
