There is gray

In the heart of

Humanity

As we try

To find our

Footing once

More.

A broken people

Trying to find

Wholeness

Once more

Still today,

The song of the

Birds

Can be heard

Outside the window

And a rainbow

Paints us hope.

There is a

Level of sadness

In this new normal

A fear of hoping

To much

For the what

Once was

Still today,

The song of

The birds

Can be heard

Outside the window

A reminder that

Beauty and song

Is everlasting.

There is grief

An emptiness

In the loss so

Many experience

In a time of great

Confusion and tragedy

And still today

The bird sing

Outside the window

A reminder of the beauty

Of life.
