i finally got it
the text my high school self would have killed to receive
”also, not to lead you on or anything, but i could possibly like you too right now. i dont know, yet. my feelings are everywhere and i’m pretty broken as well. only time will tell.”
okay
maybe it sounds pretty shitty now
but at the time
it was the best thing my crush could have ever said to me.
and it was.
we never ended up dating.
i’m grateful for what never happened
because it led me to where i am now
in love with my best friend.
