Sticks and stones

don't break bones

but words can break a soul

... ask me how I know.

You said you were a good man

said you always do what you can

but it was only a lie

so you could rope and ride.

What's a girl to do

when the cowboy is revealed a conman?

His garden of Eden - nothing more than quick sand.

He said he'd love me right

but his idea of bonfire is candlelight

can't measure up or measure down

doesn't really know north from south

better hope your license plate doesn't say Texas

but if it does you're in good company cause he'll be judging both of us.
