Tripping on these stepping stones,

Pebbles strewn beneath my bones.

Where this path will lead,

Only time will show

But if there’s heartbreak, baby,

I don’t want to know.

I’ve been begging God to show me a sign

He keeps building these footsteps in a line.

The path is being made for me.

But it’s up to me to move my feet.

The ground below me is quaking,

Everything I knew is breaking.

Boulders crashing down in front of me

Pressing on through all the unknown,

But with you by my side I’m not walking alone.

Climbing this mountain, baby,

don’t let go of my hand,

Give my feet a safe place to land.

We will stand at the summit,

our shoulders will touch.

I’ve waited so long to love you this much.
