Steadfast
Whatever

Oh you sweet of face
Don't you fall from grace now
Where, and what now?
The cause is still open and unbound
Lifting sweet of sound instead?
Wrestle with the ground then
Shackles of whose making?
In whose regard, how would you know
10,000 times shackled yet none have left their mark or their welcome
In times of steadfast anger they mind their peace
One can turn the page or turn the other cheek
But if one turns to the sage remember
What you wanted and why in the first place
Or like the chain, discarded metal
Can an echo a hello
