Leaves fall away,

giving trees new life.

Yet here I stay.

Summer and winter, long night and day,

carve new paths like a knife.

Leaves fall away.

Tears cried and debts to pay.

Beauty and grace despite.

Yet here I stay.

Years filled with birthdays,

joy, death, and strife.

Leaves fall away.

Revolving through the Milky Way,

hanging on with all your might.

Yet here I stay.

Everyone moves on in their own way,

even nature lets go the fight.

Leaves fall away,

yet here I stay.
