Stay Kind, Stay Free

A Love Meant for Everyone but Me

By Ali Sadeek AhmedPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

Kind in heart, so pure and true,

With a soul of golden hue.

I once loved—but can't recall,

How love’s whispers came to call.

My heart would say, "Just wait and see,"

To soothe the one who cared for me.

But fate had drawn a different line,

His love was theirs—it was not mine.

I warned, I spoke, time and again,

To love with trust, not count the pain.

Yet far you go, so quick to leave,

No room for doubt, no space to grieve.

Don’t exhaust yourself with me,

And when I question, bitterly,

You simply say: "Stay kind, stay free."
