Resist the pull

City's drone

a persistent sound

trying to pull you outward.

Thoughts like scattered leaves

swirling in a sudden gust

distracting your vision.

Screen's soft glow

a siren song

whispering for your attention.

But here

in this quiet space

a single point of light.

Draw your gaze inward

let noise recede

leaves settle.

This task

this moment

holds its own gravity.

Resist pull

gentle tug

insistent vibration.

Stay here.

Stay now.

Stay focused.
