Staring Out the Window

Kaleidoscope of Colors

“Blue hair”

“Yellow dog”

White girl

Stuck in analog

Purple haze

Miming Pink

Kids grown

Too much time to think

Rainbow daughters

Yellow/green/blue son

All loving factions

Of a family hard-won

(Kaleidoscope of photos--people, places all jumbled--no focus or reason--my life through all seasons)

Grey brick sidewalk

Big white house

Re-opened windows

Brand new, old spouse

Blackness of cancer

Green shoots of hope

Angry scars of removal

Ever bigger in scope

I am the absence of color

And all colors at once

Another white middlin’-old lady

BLM, Women’s March, Science March bunch

(Kaleidoscope of photos--people, places all jumbled--no focus or reason--my life through all seasons)

Time may be golden

Mine has been so much more

But my garden’s evolving

My red roses keep score

I will walk in the forest

Swim in crystal blue seas

Add these colors of nature

To my tapestry, please

Hold on as life’s changing

Embrace something new

Keep moving, yes forward

It’s all I can do

(Kaleidoscope of photos--people, places all jumbled--no focus or reason--my life through all seasons)
