A childhood dessert memory, sweetly measured in verse.

🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨

Memory quartets stay sweet

Green pistachio Brieves

Cherry minims in sweet cream

Crochets of candy

Chocolate heaven calls

Spumoni

Sings.

🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨

Vanilla ice-cream tickles

Recollections croon

Soft citron notes calm

Almond chips a balm

Soft, spongy cake soothes

Whipped cream so comforts

Spumoni's

Song.

🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨

Italian dessert suite plays

Childhood notes so fond

Gracing my tongue with grand tones

Crisp arpeggios rise

Sweet legatos blend

Spumoni

Sounds.

Notes:

An epulaeryu is essentially a poetic ode to food--in this case, a dessert (or a dessert memory). The format is as follows:

First line: 7 syllables

Second line: 5 syllables

Third line: 7 syllables

Fourth line :5 syllables

Fifth line: 5 syllables

Sixth line : 3 syllables

Seventh line : 1 syllable.

Try it and bring your favourite foods to life.

I never had Spumoni! It sounds and looks delicious. I loved the poem and I learned about this format I didn’t know about. I might try it. I love all sorts of dessert, cakes, and ice cream. I like the choice of music for the video but it was too loud over your voice. πŸ€— But it could still be read so it’s Okay.

I've only had spumoni once, but it didn't look as good as the kind in the photo you chose. Yum! And thank you for introducing me to a new form. I had to look up how to pronounce it, lol.
