Spring Has Sprung

Happy Garden

By Colleen WaltersPublished 10 months ago 1 min read

Sweet hyacinth

captivate me

with your heady scent

your seductive lure

of sweet nectar

excuse me while I swoon

Oh, daffodil

your prim and proper

bonnet of happy yellow

trumpets your innocence

And etiquette

across the garden

Now you, tulips

you... always stealing

the show with your

vibrant hues and

elegance cupped in

smooth colors

your European air

enthralls the curious

who think of windmills

lovingly quenching

your thirst when they

see your stately form.

Each beautiful in different

ways, heralding springtime

with a field of fragrant

colors and taking

us on a journey

through springtime,

a season of renewal

and growth.
