Spring Greetings

A Poem

Warmest Greetings

In the form of Spring flowers

Deepest green grass sprouting

Trees budding in multiple colors

Warmest Wishes

In the shade of Spring pastels

White, yellow, pink, purple, and green

Color splashed everywhere

Warmest Regards

In the form of Spring showers

Falling on the green grass

Bathing the flowers in life-giving water

Spring Greetings

May the flowers bring you cheer

And the colors give you joy

As warmer weather comes around

Come near, sit a spell, and listen to tales of old as I sit and rock by my fire. I'll serve you some cocoa and cookies as I tell you of the time long gone by when your Greats-greats once lived.

Though not quite yet. Give us a few more weeks of winter's slumber.

That picture reminds me of a pair of wooden prints my mother hung on my closet door when I was a girl. Here's to an early spring!
