When you can't hide

Spotted Leopard

A leopard cannot change its spots

What then, if spots change the leopard

A part of the leap, but then you lose your spots

You feel alone, empty, as others stare and whisper

Saying nothing, their distance leaves you in knots

Friendships dwindle, hope for dating as well

No one wants the leopard, so different from the rest

Uniqueness loses its charm as the loneliness dwells

You mask and cover it, avoiding looks and stares

Stares tear layers of your soul, make you feel unwell

With this gloom and darkness, there is some brighter light

You now know who’s true, who looks beyond the shell

Those are your cherished, loved, and delight

Their lack of judgement, makes you feel seen

Scars begin to heal, a content future seems bright

Most diseases are hidden inside ,so none can see

But this gift, vitiligo, shouts volumes in your face

It will never leave or set me free

Life will always be lacking, a little less fulfilled

Whispered prayers you're seen for you not it, a silent plea

*Be kind
