When all we see are new chances
And all we grasp for are new heights;
The time to shine advances.
But beware what’s eclipsed
When you feel the spotlight’s kiss.
When standing in their glow
Take heed of how the stars blaze.
They will blind you to the sorrow,
Ambitions, greed, and rage
Of all who seek the center stage.
In the world of prominence and fame
The path will diverge and choices must be made.
Though meteors and comets may seem the same;
Know that one burns to dust and dies,
While one blazes ever brighter through the skies.
