Exiting the spotlight

Cast carelessly aside

Like day-old doughnuts.

In an instant,

Past perfection fades

Standing next to

Exquisite talent.

This is great Elizabeth, and one of the more original entries so far. Makes me think of Black Swan or something of that kind. "Cast carelessly aside Like day-old doughnuts."- great line!

  • Oooo, I loved this take on Eclipse! Astounding creation! Newly subscribed as well!

We've all been there: "In an instant, (our) Past perfection fades Standing next to Exquisite talent." Some days, we're the day-old donuts. Loved your poem!
