“The tongue
has no bones,
but it is strong enough
to break a heart.
So be careful
with your words.”
What we say
can have an incredible effect
on others.
‘Speaking’
is one of the very first things
we learn to do as babies,
which proves
how important communication is.
When we open our mouths to speak,
we have an opportunity to
encourage,
inspire and
motivate others with what we say.
What we say is a choice,
like so many other things in our lives.
We would never think
of physically hurting someone we love,
so let’s make sure
we don’t emotionally hurt them
by what we say.
This means
that we need to
‘think before we speak’.
It’s important
to speak with
compassion and care
for a peaceful life.
