What were we thinking
Where have we gone
What path were we taking
That turned so wrong
Can we move on
From this dark place
Make it back home
Speak face to face

Why were we listening
To the talking heads
Leaving our reason
For their words instead
So sure that it led
To this endless chase
As money and death
Speak face to face
-
Critical thinking
Fell out of fashion
Caught in the trappings
Of endless retraction
Reckless contagion
Served to your taste
One last suggestion
Speak face to face
-
You see the solution’s
Not some half-baked song
Kill the database
Speak face to face
But we knew this all along.

Getting Serious About Comedy (Part I)
If I were asked to remark on my life and the childhood that paved some road leading me to this point, I would have to say something about all the funny people who surrounded me for the last 26,872 days (and counting). Somewhere along that road, I became a big fan of laughter and the comedy that spawns it – and, I mean not only my own laughter, but the laughter of others, some of which I have actually been responsible for inducing.
