Spare me my heart, It’s yours

(sonnet)

By Savannah DeerwesterPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

I fled outside at a quarter to nine

Then you came to clear me of my sorrow

Skin to skin as your eyes reached mine,

but this heart isn’t one you can borrow

As I opened my heart to full despair

I saw your face and saw the moon

Maybe your the answer to my prayer

When do you think we will meet again, soon?

Keep me in thought while you gaze beyond

For soon I can be there, wrapped in your arms

Maybe its crazy, but I hope your fond

This unfinished story can sure be ours

I can still imagine the stars above,

but you’ll never know I’ve fallen In-love

fact or fiction
