Space Chocolate

A Poem

By Kale SinclairPublished 2 years ago Updated 2 years ago 1 min read

At noon, they took an escape pod to the moon.

Upon arrival, he told her that he needed to run

a quick errand on mercury ... that was a lightyear ago ...

and she waited, mowing their rock lawn, for her love

to return home for their cosmically erotic anniversary.

She continued to linger in gloom, within the cold

atmosphere of the solitary moon - patiently awaiting

the arrival of her astronaut's rocket - equipped with oxygen,

roses and an assortment of dark chocolates.

A new light in the night made her blood ripple,

and her heart flower - so she tidied up the lost time,

and washed her body and hair in the nearest meteor shower.

Cutting the pant legs off of her cute spacesuit, she used her distress to

fabricate the rest to accentuate her breasts, stitching what was left

into a tight-fit white mini-dress. With the shuttle approaching,

and the landing gear activated, she focused on ensuring that

the landing zone was glowing and extensively decorated.

Overwhelmed with emotion, nervously scratching at scars,

her eyes welled at the sight of the man who fell from the stars.

Her love had returned, bearing gifts and a kiss oh so desperately heated,

yet it was simply his smile that seemed to be everything she needed.
