The Space Cadet

I’m passing through the years,

through the intergalactic lines of time,

omnisciently hovering over the waves of the universe,

flashes of starlight color wash my bare skin as I collide into various versions of myself.

Eyes wide,

stars flashing through my pupils.

To say I belong only to the earth is a misconception. A void of deception.

A celestial being and all seeing,

I was born knowing everything and nothing.

I’m a space cadet.

You can find me in the jet

streams high above the atmosphere.

I will always be here.

The Space Cadet(s)

The space cadet,

who was always roaming from planet to planet,

bags in hand,

leaving trails in the atmosphere,

found her home here.

Colliding into a fellow space traveler.

There’s no walls,

or roof,

but a sky of raining shooting stars,

an illuminate heart,

and a sense of belong that she knew all along.
