Soulmates

When you find a person whose soul mirrors yours, you know that they are your soulmate, yours forever. Someone who reflects your soul does not have to be the love of your life, it could be a family member or, in my case, your best friend. I was in a rough place, just going about my life when this girl walked into my life and flipped it upside down.

I had never had the best track record with best friends. To the best of my knowledge all best friends were for was to stab you in the back or leave. From the moment I met her I could tell she was different. We started taking and just clicked. All of those best friend quotes and clichés finally make sense. Our personality’s are just so similar that it was as if we were the same person. Her humor, intelligence, trauma, mimicked mine. It is as though my soul is exposed to a mirror that reflects only love and understanding, no matter what horrors it is witness to. She is the person I confide in, the person I vent to, the person I bounce ideas off, she is, my person. She is not just my soulmate, she is my best friend, forever.
