We’ve looked into each other’s eyes
Plumbed the depths of our souls.
Felt them spiral up towards heaven.
As we reached ecstatic heights.
Then crash into the depths of hell.
In our times of absolute despair.
I know at the beginning it was,
Our looks that attracted us.
Shallow I know
But the connection has to start somewhere.
But I am aging as my genetics has foretold.
You know all that I am,
I stand naked before you.
In body and soul.
But my human nakedness
Repulses you.
Please my love, lover soul mate.
Do not leave.
As we have touched each other’s souls
More than we have joined bodies.
Let not the temporal impermanence of our looks
Ruin what we share beyond this.
Look into my eyes,
Just my eyes
Feel the touch of my soul on yours.
Caressing it gently up and won
Sending tingles through your body.
Something beyond physical touch.
Please
“You should never leave a person
Who touches your soul
More than your body.”
